![]() ![]() Like when Sloane Crosley showed up on Gossip Girl. Was this a cameo from a real New York editor people who matter should know about? Seems like the kind of thing they'd do on this program. Then a big old guy walks through and namedrops Crown books. None of the naked weird shit from last week seemed to have happened, and we find Hannah having drinks with a book editor. And contemporary pop tunes played over shots of contemplative young people, like in Gossip Girl.īut I'm told this show somehow warrants more discussion than that. There were a few moments where a laugh landed, with vast, confounding spaces between those moments. ![]() This episode of Girls, like most episodes of Girls, can be easily recapped as follows: Allison Williams went to great lengths to strategically hide her breasts from the camera. Some will like the show, some will hate it, some somewhere in between, but hopefully there will always be something to learn. Every week, a man from Esquire will take to The Culture Blog to write about the latest episode of Girls, the endlessly-talked-about and sometimes-watched HBO series created by and starring Lena Dunham. ![]()
